Ingredients
Oat Base
½cupoatsquick, minute or rolled all work!
½of 1 mediumbanana*see notes for substitution
½cupmilkof choice
1scoopvanilla protein powderoptional
1teaspoonbaking powder
1egg
1teaspoonvanilla extract
¼teaspoonalmond extractthis is not optional!
½tablespoonmaple syrup
1teaspoonsprinkles of your choice
Optional- "Icing" Topping
2tablespoonplain yogurt
¼teaspoonvanilla extract
½tablespoonmaple syrup
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°F.
In a high powered blender or food processor, combine all of the base ingredients and blend until smooth.
Pour batter into a greased 10-oz oven safe dish, top with sprinkles and bake for 25-30 minutes or until the top begins to brown.
Once oats are baked, remove from oven carefully and allow to cool for about 5 minutes.
For optional "icing"
In a small bowl mix together yogurt, vanilla and maple syrup for your topping.
Optional- Top with yogurt mixture and sprinkle with all the sprinkles your heart desires.
Notes
* The banana is able to be substituted by ¼ cup of unsweetened applesauce*Feel free to leave out the protein powder, I would suggest adding a little more maple syrup to ensure you get that sweetness!*Yogurt topping can be substituted with just vanilla yogurt, or can be left off and you can just pour a little milk or cream!*I have included an estimation of the nutrition information for this recipe below.
