Ingredients
2cupskale
handfulfresh parsley(about 1 oz)
2cupswater
1inchpiece of ginger,peeled
2large celery stalks,trimmed and roughly chopped
1granny smith apple,cored and stem removed, chopped
½large cucumber(with the skin on), chopped loosely
½lemon,juiced
Instructions
Place kale, parsley and water in a blender. Blend until smooth (I find blending the kale/ parsley with the water prior to adding all other ingredients helps it break down finer.)
Add the remaining ingredients including ginger, celery, apple, cucumber and lemon juice.
Blend on high until liquified, about a minute. Divide into two glasses and serve as is. For storage: pour into a 1 liter mason jar and refrigerate 3-4 days.
Notes
I highly recommend adding the ingredients to the blender in the order listed in the recipe above.
