This Greek Yogurt Caramelized Onion Dip is a creamy, lighter take on classic French onion dip. Perfect for parties, potlucks, or game day!

Ingredients
2yellow onions (or 1 large spanish onion),halved and thinly sliced(or diced small)
2tablespoonsolive oil
1teaspoongarlic powder
1.5teaspoonsalt
1teaspoonblack pepper
1teaspoondried thyme
2tablespoonbalsamic vinegar
4teaspoonworcestershire sauce
2cupsplain 2% Greek yogurt
2tablespoonchives(fresh or freeze dried)
Instructions
To a large pan over medium, high heat add the olive oil. Once the oil is hot, add sliced onions, saute, stirring frequently until the onions are soft (about 5 minutes).
After 5 minutes, add the garlic powder, salt, black pepper, thyme and balsamic vinegar. Continue to saute, stirring frequently until caramelized (about 10 minutes).
After 10 minutes, add the worcestershire sauce and cook for an additional 5 minutes until fragrant. Add onions to a bowl and set aside to cool.
Once cool, stir the onions into the yogurt, adjust spices to desired tastes and top with chives.
Notes
Greek yogurt tends to be a bit more sour than a traditional mayo/ sour cream dip base. If you are finding it too sour, add in 1-2 tablespoon of mayonnaise.For even MORE flavour add ½ a package of onion soup mix when you mix the onions into the yogurt!*I have included an estimation of the nutrition information for this recipe below.
