This Greek Yogurt Caramelized Onion Dip is a creamy, lighter take on classic French onion dip. Perfect for parties, potlucks, or game day!

This Greek Yogurt Caramelized Onion Dip is my healthier spin on a classic French onion dip. It has all the savoury, onion-forward flavour you expect, but swaps the usual sour cream and mayo base for Greek yogurt to keep things a bit more balanced while still being creamy and satisfying. If you love crowd-pleasing dips like my Baked Feta Cheese with Cranberries and my Cottage Cheese Buffalo Chicken Dip, this one is another option that's guaranteed to disappear fast.
Caramelizing the onions is what really makes this dip shine. Taking the extra time to let them soften and deepen in flavour adds that rich, slightly sweet taste that makes French onion dip so delicious. Once they're mixed into the yogurt with a few simple seasonings, you end up with a creamy, flavourful dip! This is the kind of recipe that works just as well for summer potlucks and game day spreads as it does for a simple snack plate at home.
