My name is Nicole Addison and I'm a Registered Dietitian (RD) and Master of Health Science (MHSc) graduate from Toronto Metropolitan University. I'm also a recipe developer, nutrition communicator, and the creator behind Nourished by Nic, a food and lifestyle blog dedicated to making healthy eating simple, approachable, and genuinely enjoyable.

My Story
I started Nourished by Nic in 2018 with one goal: to cut through the noise around nutrition and show people that eating well doesn't have to be complicated, expensive, or restrictive.
After struggling with my own relationship with food during university, I felt a strong desire to share my journey and use my training as a dietitian to help others navigate the same pressures and overwhelm I experienced. I know first-hand how exhausting it can be to sort through conflicting nutrition advice online. That's exactly why I built this space: to be a credible, calm, and practical voice in a noisy wellness world.
Today, Nourished by Nic has grown into a community of over 1.4 million on both Instagram and TikTok, where I share quick recipes, grocery hauls, meal prep ideas, and real-life nutrition tips every week.
My Nutrition Philosophy
I don't believe in one-size-fits-all diets. Health looks different for everyone, and nourishing your body should fit your life, not the other way around.
Balance: All foods can fit in a healthy diet.
Accessibility: Nutritious eating shouldn't require a lot of money, time, or culinary skill.
Science: I translate peer-reviewed nutrition research into practical, usable advice.
Compassion: Building a healthy relationship with food takes time, and that's okay.
