    Welcome to nourishedbynic!

Hi there, I'm Nicole (or Nic)! I'm the founder, creator and editor of NourishedbyNic, a food and lifestyle blog. I have always loved all things food, health and wellness.

Ever since I can remember I've had hundreds of food photos on my phone. I loved taking recipes and recreating them using ingredients that nourished the body a little more! So, after a little persuasion from my loved ones, I started my Instagram page in 2018 and Nourishedbynic was born. I could have never in my wildest dreams imagined I'd be where I am today.

In the beginning I posted one heavily edited, poorly lit food photo a week (see photo below) and I instantly fell in love. I loved sharing nutrition tips, connecting with a community and having an outlet to explore my creative side. I learned so much throughout the process. Not only about food photography and recipe development but also about myself. It was through this community and this account that I started to fully heal my relationship with food.

My first post on my Instagram

Most of my teenage and early university years were spent obsessing over calories, macronutrients and workouts (like so many others sadly). Once I started to realize the slippery slope I was going down I recognized that something needed to change. While I was healing that relationship, my account gave me the chance to connect with an entire community of people from around the world going through the same thing.

I am now in a place where I can confidently say my relationship with food and my body is the healthiest it has ever been. My goal is to now continue to inspire others that a healthy lifestyle and feeling like your best self can be achieved without sacrificing the joy of food or making it all about numbers. My motto is that life is all about nourishing both your body and soul.

So I guess what I'm really trying to say is- THANK YOU. For finding me and supporting me. Thank you for giving me the chance to pursue my passion and share my life with you. But most of all thank you for allowing me to be a part of your life. I cannot wait to make more recipes, and connect more with you (because I'm already loving blog posts).

This website has been a long time coming! and I'm so happy it's finally here.

PS. to everyone who convinced me to start my account and who constantly gives me the courage and reassurance I need to keep going I love you more than words can explain.

    xx Nic
