Thai Peanut Butter Hummus Recipe
Ingredients, Swaps, & Tips

Chickpeas: The base of the hummus! I always try to look for low sodium chickpeas or no added salt! This helps control the level of sodium in the recipe.
Peanut butter: For that rich, nutty flavor that makes this hummus so craveable. Look for a natural, no-sugar-added variety for the best consistency.
Sesame oil: Just a touch adds a toasty, nutty depth that pairs perfectly with the peanut butter.
Sriracha: Brings the heat! Adjust up or down depending on your spice preference.
Garlic: For that punchy, savory backbone. I recommend freshly pressed garlic for the most flavor!
Low sodium soy sauce: This is essential for a savory, umami flavor (low sodium options help decrease the salt in the recipe)!
Honey: A touch of sweetness to balance out the spice and saltiness. Maple syrup works as a swap if you'd like to keep it vegan.
Fresh ginger: Adds warmth and a little zing. Freshly grated makes a big difference!
Lime juice: Brightens everything up and balances the richness of the peanut butter.
Olive oil: Helps blend everything into that perfect smooth, whipped texture.
Salt: Simple seasoning to round out all the flavors.

The olive oil helps to create a smooth consistency so I don't recommend it but if you are looking for an oil-free option, see my tip above!
