Stack of Italian Chopped Turkey Wrap.

As a dietitian, I love a lunch recipe that's quick but still feels balanced and satisfying. That's exactly why recipes like this Italian chopped turkey wrap are lifesavers on busy days!

Wraps like this are one of my go-to lunch options because they're easy to customize and come together in minutes. Some of my other favorites are my Chicken Salad Wrap and my Creamy Pesto Chicken Spinach Wrap. They're all quick to make, packed with flavour, and perfect when you want something simple but still nourishing.

Why This Recipe Is Dietitian Approved

    1. Easy lunch. This wrap comes together in just 10 minutes, making it perfect for busy weekdays when you need something quick and satisfying.
    2. Balanced meal. With lean turkey, fresh vegetables, and a whole wheat tortilla, this wrap provides protein, fiber, and nutrients to help keep you full.
    3. No cook lunch. Everything comes together without turning on the stove, making this a great option for quick lunches at home or work.

    Italian Chopped Turkey Wrap Recipe

    Ingredients

Turkey breast. I love using Canadian turkey breast deli meat for a quick and easy source of protein (look for nitrate free options like maple leaf naturals)!

Provolone cheese. There is something about provolone in a deli inspired wrap or sandwich that just feels right!

Romaine lettuce. I recommend using romaine lettuce or iceberg lettuce in this wrap for a true "Italian salad" taste

Tomatoes. I recommend roma tomatoes because they are smaller so contain quite as much moisture as a larger variety!

    Red onion. For flavour!

Antipasto. Antipasto spreads such as Chuck Hughes Antipasto spread have been my go-to whenever I create anything "Italian" inspired they really add the flavour without requiring much prep!

Tortillas. I recommend using either higher protein tortillas (like Dempster's high protein) or whole wheat for added fiber!

Homemade easy Italian dressing- olive oil, red wine vinegar, Italian seasoning

The complete ingredient list with measurements can be found in the recipe card below.

    1. Add filling the center of the tortilla and wrap by folding in the sides and rolling.

    Substitutions and Variations

To make gluten-free:  Use a gluten free wrap!

To make dairy-free: Swap out the provolone cheese with a sliced dairy free cheese of choice.

To make nut-free: This recipe is naturally nut free!

If you cannot find antipasto spread- chopped banana peppers will also work for a bit of spice or just sliced black olives for a little salt!

    Equipment

    • Mixing bowls

    Storage

I recommend eating these wraps fresh for best results! Due to the dressing, the wrap will get soggy if made in advance!

If you are looking for a meal prep option I recommend prepping the salad filling and dressing, keeping them separate in the fridge and mixing + adding to a wrap fresh when you are ready to eat!

    Top Tips for Success

Be conscious of how much filling you are adding into the wrap! You don't want the wrap to be overstuffed or the tortilla will break!

    Frequently Asked Questions

Can I turn this wrap into a salad?

Yes. Simply skip the tortilla and serve the chopped filling as an Italian-style turkey salad. It works great on its own or over extra lettuce!
