Calling all pickle lovers! My Creamy Dill Pickle Salad Dressing is the best for any salad or sandwich. Made high protein and with ALL the pickle flavour.
Making a delicious and versatile condiment is a staple in my meal prep routine. It's one of the fastest ways to make boring meals more appealing, and this creamy dill pickle dressing is an essential for me.
I love adding this to my crunchy dill pickle salad, but it also goes on other salads, sandwiches and bowls. Using a combination of dill, pickles and pickle bring for the maximum pickle-ness, this dressing is sour, tangy and punchy. The Greek yogurt base makes it creamy and mellows out all the flavors, so it's not super intense either.
Pickle lovers, you are going to be obsessed with this dressing!
Why This Recipe Is Dietitian Approved
- Oil-free dressing. I'm not anti-fat by any means, but I know not everyone likes an oil-based salad dressing. This dill pickle dressing is a great option if you're not into the olive oil vinaigrettes.
- Higher in protein. We use plain Greek yogurt as the base for this dressing, which is a source of high quality protein and nutrients.
- Versatile. I love pickles in pretty much anything, which means I'm adding this dressing to everything. Salads, sandwiches, bowls or a veggie dip... it's the best versatile condiment to keep on hand.
Ingredients
Greek yogurt. This makes our a creamy base that's high in protein, calcium and vitamin D. The higher the fat percentage of the yogurt, the creamier the dressing will be.
White vinegar. I used vinegar for acidity in tang that is essential in every salad dressing.
Pickle brine. For the pickle essence, if you must!
Spices. Onion powder and garlic powder are the only spices you will need.
Dill. You can use either fresh or dried dill!
Pickles. For best results I recommend dicing the pickles very finely! Use the pickle variety that you like best.
